Workshops
We offer intensive workshops for a maximum of 4 participants, aiming at the basic IGFP-examination.
Each participant will receive a Workshop Certificate according to §8 of the Examination Regulations for Horse Dental Practitioners acc. to IGFP eV.
Workshop Programme:
Friday:
| 12.00 p.m. | Getting to know the other participants while having lunch together |
| 2 p.m. | Handling, maintenance of rotating dental grinding machines |
| 4 p.m. | Theoretical biomechanics in the field of dental treatments |
| 5 p.m. | Pre-examination, diagnosis of an un-sedated horse |
| 6 p.m. | The participants have dinner together and review the treatment, open discussion |
Saturday:
| 8.30 a.m. | Meeting in the horse stable Setting-up the equipment Safety at work for the owner, assistant, treating person as well as for the horse to be treated |
| 9.15 a.m. | Team 1: dental treatment of the sedated horse, followed by a case review |
| 11.00 a.m. | Team 2: dental treatment of the sedated horse, followed by a case review |
| 12.30 p.m. | The participants have lunch together and review the treatment, open discussion |
| 2 p.m. | Team 1: dental treatment of the sedated horse |
| 3.45 p.m. | Short coffee break with case review |
| 4.15 p.m. | Team 2: dental treatment of the sedated horse |
| 6.00 p.m. | End |
Sunday:
| 9.00 Uhr | Meeting in the horse stable |
| 9.15 Uhr | dental treatment of the sedated horse followed by a case review |
| 12.30 Uhr | The participants have lunch together and Final discussion |
